LESSON 7.3 · 1:41 · CHAPTER 7 · WARP AND DESIGN
Walls come in bead units
A wall thickness that isn't a whole number of beads forces the slicer to leave a gap or squeeze the beads.
Predict · at 0:28 in the video
A 20 millimetre bead, and a 50 millimetre wall in CAD. What does the slicer do?
One of two bad things. Two beads, and a ten millimetre gap between them. Or three beads squeezed to 16.7 millimetres each.

About the numbers
Simulations in this lesson are our own. Where a number rests on an assumption or a single source, the video marks it with an asterisk and says where it comes from.
