Addcomposites is a Finnish advanced-manufacturing company building software, robotic process equipment and complete production cells for automated fiber placement, filament winding and large-format composite tooling.
Addcomposites designs and integrates end-to-end composite manufacturing systems from its Application Center in Espoo, Finland. Its platform connects AddPath production software, AFP-XS and AFP-X fiber-placement equipment, AddX large-format additive manufacturing, filament winding, robotics and closed-loop process control. Customers use the systems to move from part geometry and process development to repeatable production cells for aerospace, space, hydrogen, automotive, marine and research applications.
Addcomposites is a Finnish advanced-manufacturing company focused on making composite production easier to design, automate and scale. The company combines production software, robotic process equipment and cell integration around the component a customer needs to build. Its technology portfolio includes AddPath programming and simulation, AFP-XS and AFP-X automated fiber placement, AddX large-format additive manufacturing, filament winding configurations, robot and positioner integration, and quality-control loops. Rather than supplying only an end effector, Addcomposites can engineer the connected process architecture from tooling and robot motion through material deposition and inspection. Systems are developed and demonstrated at the company’s Application Center in Espoo for industrial and research customers worldwide.

Product descriptions
Describe the complete platform.
Addcomposites operates above the end-effector layer: process equipment, software, robotics, tooling interfaces and quality control are configured around the component.
AddCell
A component-specific production cell combining robot, positioners, process equipment, safety, software and quality control into one engineered manufacturing system.
AFP-XS
A compact automated fiber-placement platform for thermoset, thermoplastic and dry-fiber research, development and small-part production.
AFP-X
A higher-throughput multi-tow automated fiber-placement system for larger structures and industrial process development.
AddX
Robot-based large-format additive manufacturing for composite tooling, molds and large near-net-shape structures.
AddPath
Design-to-production software for path planning, simulation, collision checking, process programming and manufacturing traceability.
Filament winding
Integrated winding systems covering pin winding, geodesic and non-geodesic paths, robot and positioner coordination, and production programming.
