Wet, towpreg or thermoplastic
Three ways to bring resin to the fibre: wet winding through a bath (cheap, flexible, messy), towpreg (pre-impregnated tow, cleaner and more consistent, costs more, still cured), and thermoplastic tape welded at the nip by a heater such as a laser (no oven, recyclable matrix, slower and higher-capital). The choice trades speed, mess, cost and quality.

Which route needs no oven at all?
Thermoplastic. The tape is a thermoplastic matrix with fibre in it. A heater, here a laser, melts it right at the nip, and the roller presses it onto the layer below.
