Where AddPly fits
AddPly takes a part from STEP CAD to regions, a checked ply stack, layer and section views, a plybook and an AddPath package; it does not do strength or failure analysis, draping, FEA export or steered fibres, and the course teaches those on its own simulations.

So: does AddPly tell you whether this spar will break?
No. It doesn't do strength or failure analysis. It doesn't simulate draping, it doesn't export to finite element analysis, and it doesn't plan steered fibres.
This course is our own. These books go deeper.

The course designs in AddPly, our browser app for laminate design: regions, ply stacks with live stacking-rule checks, thickness, mass and the ply book. It does not do strength, failure or draping; where a lesson covers those, the simulation is our own.
Simulations in this lesson are our own. Ply data come from the datasheet or textbook named on screen; where a number rests on an assumption, the video says so.
