The design loop
A composite part goes shape → tooling faces → regions → stack → checks → plybook → shop, and a failed check sends it back to the design, never to a hand-edited plybook.

A rule check fails after the ply book is already printed. Where do you go back to?
To the stack. You fix the design, and the ply book comes out of it again. Checks sit in the middle of the loop: stacking rules, thickness, stiffness, and later, strength.

The course designs in AddPly, our browser app for laminate design: regions, ply stacks with live stacking-rule checks, thickness, mass and the ply book. It does not do strength, failure or draping; where a lesson covers those, the simulation is our own.
Simulations in this lesson are our own. Ply data come from the datasheet or textbook named on screen; where a number rests on an assumption, the video says so.
