Your first test matrix
No model predicts the right settings for a new machine and material well enough, so you find them by testing, and the skill is testing efficiently. Hold the room steady, pick the four factors (speed, heat, tension, compaction) and sensible ranges, change settings course by course on one panel instead of one panel per setting, label every defect by course and by origin, and repeat until the settings hold up.

So what's the one thing that makes these trials repeatable, and tells you when you've found settings you can trust?
A steady room, and repetition. Keep temperature and humidity stable, and repeat the trial until the settings give the same result every time. And decide what "good" means before you start.

Simulations in this lesson are our own. Where the numbers are invented to show a mechanism, the video says so on screen.
