Tool CTE must match the part
Tool and laminate grow differently on the way up to cure, and a printed tool grows very differently in each direction.
Predict · at 0:35 in the video
A two metre tool for a carbon epoxy part heats up by 100 degrees. The laminate grows two millionths per degree. How far off is aluminium at 23, a printed carbon fibre PC along its beads at 7.8, and the same tool through its layers at 72?
The worst is fourteen millimetres. The laminate grows 0.4. Aluminium is 4.2 millimetres off.
