LESSON 8.6 · 1:32 · CHAPTER 8 · TESTING, TANKS AND WHAT'S NEXT
Closing the loop
Sensors on the cell (tension, angle, temperature, band position and gaps) let the machine see a defect as it happens and correct it on the next circuit. After cure it is too late to fix a band gap.
Predict · at 0:30 in the video
Can you fix a band gap after the part is cured?
No. It has to be caught on the next circuit. The machine nudges the next bands over, and the gap closes before anything is buried.

About the numbers
Simulations in this lesson are our own. Where a number rests on an assumption, the video marks it with an asterisk and says where it comes from.
