Nameplate rate vs real rate
The screw's nameplate rate is a ceiling; travel moves, layer-time waits and how fast the machine can move decide the rate you actually get.

Production jobs on a 45 kilogram an hour printer averaged 18.8. What fraction of nameplate is that? And to use an 84 kilogram an hour extruder on a 20 by 5 millimetre bead, how fast must the head move?
About 42 percent of nameplate. And 84 kilograms an hour through a 20 by 5 millimetre bead needs the head to move at about 205 millimetres a second. At 12 kilograms an hour, it's 29.
