ABBOT

From the public EDF factsheet: ABBOT pioneers advanced radar-absorbing materials (RAM) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding composites to meet the critical needs of modern defence systems. The aim is to integrate the most promising RAM into structural materials with advanced stealth properties, embedded at manufacturing stage, so stealth and EMI protection are built directly into lightweight, durable composite structures. The project's current public site (abbot-edf.eu) frames this the same way: embedding RAM and EMI shielding directly into lightweight structural composites, in place of external coatings or added metal shielding, targeting TRL 4 over the project's 36-month duration.
