Mission & Vision

Addcomposites aims to provide universities, R&D centers, and technical clusters the opportunity to collaborate with companies of all sizes who are developing new processes and materials. 
Through technical innovation and flexibility to collaborate, Addcomposites will develop and provide the most adaptable, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing automation solutions available. We will be the leader for plug & play composite manufacturing automation solutions, while  being environmentally responsible, fueled by an environment for employees to grow personally and professionally.

Our Story

Addcomposites started as a research project at Aalto University, and have now grown as a company. After two years of R&D and testing, including graduating from the European Space Agency - Business Incubation Center of Finland, we have an industrial-grade manufacturing system.

Addcomposites provides digital automation solutions for composite manufacturing. We have developed the world’s first plug & play solution for advanced composites production, enabling both small-scale, customized production and continuous production runs. Our core competency is in automating the handling of dry fiber, and fiber with either thermoset or thermoplastic matrices.
Our solution consists of a toolhead, which can be attached to new or pre-existing industrial robots. The toolhead is packaged with an integrated control system and planning software. Using the expertise acquired during development, we are able to provide engineering services to automate current manual layup processes.
